What is Hydrospeed?
This is a river version of bodyboarding, where you put your upper body on a rubber boat made for one person, put fins on your feet, and balance your body as you go down the rapids of the Tone River in Minakami.
If rafting is a team sport, hydrospeed is an individual sport.
Because you are right on the water's surface, not only is the excitement doubled, but the speed you feel is incomparable to rafting! !
Hydrospeed is the ultimate river sport where you can feel the waves with your whole body as you move forward.
※Life jackets are worn, so even those who can't swim can participate with peace of mind. In addition, before going down the river, the guide will carefully explain how to operate the boat and safety instructions in a place with a gentle current. After that, the guide will lead you down the river.

●Hydrospeed safety
Minakami Town's hydrospeed tours are conducted by specialized guides who investigate the weather and the site in advance, and are fully prepared, but they are not necessarily safe. Although a professional guide will always accompany you, as you are dealing with Mother Nature, there is a risk of river flooding or flash flooding due to weather conditions.
Hydrospeed is a sport where you go down a river in a boat, and it is a tour in nature, so it is dangerous. Please participate only after fully understanding and consenting.

●Hydrospeed guide
Instructors include guides from other countries, so make sure you understand the explanations well. There are also language differences, so be sure to ask again if you do not understand something before participating.
We recommend that customers who participate in the tour take out accident insurance and sports insurance in advance.

●Hydrospeed safety standards
Minakami Town's hydrospeed tours are run by the Outdoor Federation, a general incorporated association, in Minakami Town.
The Outdoor Federation has established standards for guides to improve their skills and ensure that they are familiar with safety aspects.
Furthermore, Minakami Town has strict standards for outdoor activities, and hydrospeed tours are held by clearing these standards.
In addition, since each hydrospeed course has a different grade, we conduct training to further strengthen safety.
Hydrospeed tours are a sport conducted in nature and therefore involve risks,
so guides always consider safety when conducting the tour.

●Request to customers
Hydrospeed tours are not always safe.
Because they are conducted in nature, there are places where it is difficult to walk, such as mountain paths and riverbeds, and you may fall.
There are also other places where you should not go. Please be sure to follow the instructions of your guide.
Please understand that this is a sport that involves risks and participate in it.

◇Hydrospeed Precautions
・Please note that pregnant women, those who are unwell, those who have drunk alcohol on the day, and those who are hungover will be refused tours on the day.
・The tour will be held even in the rain.

◆Request to customers
Outdoor tours are sports that involve nature, so they are not necessarily safe.
As they are conducted in nature, they contain dangerous elements.
Please make sure you understand the details before making a reservation.

◆Guide standards
Outdoor tours in Minakami Town are governed by the Outdoor Tourism Ordinance, which sets regulations and standards, and the Outdoor Association, a general incorporated association, has been established, which sets even stricter standards and regulations.
Our guides meet these standards, and all outdoor tours are accompanied by qualified Rescue 3 and medical first aid personnel, so you can participate with peace of mind.

◆Insurance details
All tours include facility attendant liability insurance (coverage up to 300 million yen per accident, per person).
Injuries caused by personal actions are not covered, so we recommend that you take out personal injury insurance.
Customers who have not taken out insurance in advance can take out a non-refundable insurance on the day of the tour.

[Regarding Tour Cancellations]
Depending on weather conditions or circumstances on the tour day, the guide may determine that the tour is unsafe and cancel it. Please be aware of this in advance.
※ In case of complete cancellation, the tour fee will not be charged.
※ Please note that transportation costs to our location will be at your own expense.

[Regarding Cancellations]
If the customer cancels due to personal reasons, the following cancellation fees will apply:
10～7 days before → 10%
6～2 days before → 30%
The day before → 50%
On that day → 100%
※ Please note that even if you are unable to make it to the tour due to traffic delays, you may still be charged the full amount.
