■Snowshoe & TAPA Bungalow Accommodation (Bed Type) Plan
You can choose to meet up for snowshoes in the morning or afternoon.
There is also a half-day course starting the next morning, so please feel free to join us.

★Snowshoes are a Western version of traditional Japanese snow shoes. Use poles (specialized stocks) to walk on the natural snowy ground, and experience the snowy scenery of nature, the clear and refreshing air, the feeling of walking on the snow, and nature itself with your own body. A specialized snowshoe guide will guide you to the wonderful silver world created by the natural nature of Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture.
As you walk on the natural snow, you can come into contact with nature, such as animal footprints and tree buds. If you're lucky, you might encounter wild animals such as chamois, foxes, and rabbits.
On a sunny day, you can look out over the silver world, where you will be overwhelmed by the view of white snow and blue sky. Please experience the wonder of snow, which is different from hiking.

We provide bedding for bed-type rooms, but you may bring futons, blankets, etc.
You may bring food, but cooking indoors, etc., is prohibited..

・We recommend that you come by car if you want to do sightseeing.
・If coming by car: 5 minutes from Minakami I.C. on the Kanetsu Expressway.
・If coming by train: Free pick-up service available from JR Minakami Station or Jomo-Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen.
※If you would like a pick-up service, please make a reservation in advance.
※We also provide pick-up service from the nearest accommodation, so please contact us.
※There are no resident staff during the winter season. Staff will arrive at the campsite when you check in, so please contact us if your check-in time is delayed.

※[Winter Information for those using from December to March]※
※There is a lot of snowfall in winter, so please bring chains and prepare studless tires.
On days with a lot of snowfall, chains are required for 2WDs. You cannot come with only normal tires.
※The parking lot on the premises may also be covered in packed snow.
※To prevent freezing, outdoor water taps cannot be used.
※The camping area is closed due to snow accumulation. Cooking with brought-in equipment and ingredients is allowed. However, snow shoveling is required.
※As with the green season, there are many families, so please refrain from making noise or shouting.
※There are no resident staff, so please contact us if your check-in time is delayed or advanced.

Schedule

◆If you participate snowshoe in the afternoon of the same day and stay overnight (snowshoe on the day + accommodation only)
・Meet at 1:00 PM in the afternoon (Uenohara Yamanoie)
・Start snowshoe at 1:30 PM
・Return to the Tapa base campsite at 3:30 PM
・Move to Riverstone at 4:00 PM and check in
・Check out at 10:00 AM

◆If you participate in snowshoe the next morning (snowshoe the next day + accommodation only)
・Go directly to the Tapa campsite and check in.
・Move to the snowshoe starting point at 9:00 AM the next morning. (Uenohara Yamanoie)
・Start snowshoeing at 9:45 AM
・Return to the Tapa base campsite at 12:00 PM
・End of tour (disband on site)
※You will not return to your room as you will be joining the tour after checking out.

[Snowshoe precautions]
- For safety reasons, cameras are not allowed
- We take photos of the tour and sell QR codes
- Follow the guide's instructions when walking around trees, etc., as you may sink into them.
- Please note that pregnant women, those who are not feeling well, those who have drunk alcohol on the day, and those who are hungover will not be allowed to participate in the tour on the day.
- Rain or shine.

◆ Requests to customers
Outdoor tours are sports that involve nature, so they are not always safe.
As they are conducted in nature, they contain dangerous elements.
Please make sure you understand the details before making a reservation.

◆ Guide standards
Minakami Town's outdoor tours are governed by the Outdoor Tourism Ordinance, which sets out regulations and standards, and the Outdoor Federation, a general incorporated association, has been established, which sets out even stricter standards and regulations.
Our guides have cleared these requirements, and all outdoor tours are accompanied by qualified Rescue 3 and medical first aid personnel, so you can participate with peace of mind.

◆ Insurance details
All tours include facility attendant liability insurance (coverage up to 300 million yen per accident, per person).
Accidents and injuries caused by personal actions are not covered, so we recommend that you take out personal injury insurance.
Customers who have not taken out insurance in advance can take out a one-time premium at our company on the day.
