Canadian Canoe: Half-Day Experience
Enjoy Minakami canoe on the Minakami lake|Fully enjoy the canoe half-day experience in the middle of nature!
[Minakami Canoe Experience]
What is a Canadian canoe?
It is a boat that can carry 1 to 3 people and is paddled with a single blade paddle. It originated from its use by Native Americans in North America.
It was mainly used by Canadian Native Americans to move around lakes and ponds, so it was named "Canadian canoe".
The Canadian canoe is more stable than a kayak, so you can safely enjoy points and mountain streams that cannot be approached from land, so it is highly recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy the scenery.
All passengers paddle in unison, moving slowly across the lake surrounded by nature, and once you get used to operating it, you can experience the feeling of speed as you glide lightly across the lake and move in the direction you want♪
Enjoy an exquisite lake cruise surrounded by green leaves in spring and summer, and red leaves in autumn.

◎Before enjoying Canadian canoeing, be aware of the following!
●Safety of Canadian canoeing
Tours are conducted by a professional guide who checks the weather and the site in advance, but are not necessarily safe. A professional guide will always accompany you, but since you are dealing with Mother Nature, there is a risk of river flooding or flash flooding due to weather.
Also, Canadian canoeing is a boat sport, and since it is a tour in nature, it involves risks. Please participate only after fully understanding and consenting.
●Canadian canoeing guides
Instructors include guides from other countries, so make sure you understand the explanations well. There are also language differences, so if you do not understand something, be sure to ask again before participating.
We recommend that customers who participate in the tour take out accident insurance and sports insurance in advance.
(Injury insurance is available on site)
◎To ensure a safe and enjoyable tour, please participate with the support of a tour guide.
●Canadian canoeing safety standards
Canadian canoeing is conducted by the Outdoor Federation, a general incorporated association, in Minakami Town. A canoeing association was established within the organization,
which improves skills, familiarizes participants with safety, and sets standards for guides.
In addition, the town has strict outdoor regulations, and tours are held after clearing these.
In addition, since the grade of each course is different, we conduct training to further strengthen safety.
Since Canadian canoe tours are a sport conducted in nature, we conduct tours with safety in mind.
●Request to customers
Canadian canoe tours are not always safe.
Since they are conducted in nature, there are places where it is difficult to walk, such as mountain paths and riverbeds, and you may fall.
There are also other places where you should not go. Please be sure to follow the instructions of your guide.
We ask that participants understand that this is a sport that involves risks.
