◆What is stand-up paddle (SUP)?
It is a water sport where you get on a large surfboard and paddle on the water.
It is a new activity that is rapidly gaining popularity both in Japan and overseas!
Not only can you ride the waves, but you can also cruise leisurely on the water, and once you get used to it, you can even race with your friends♪
Also, balancing on an unstable boat is a fitness effect.
It is sure to be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.

●SUP safety
Minakami Town's SUP tours are conducted by professional guides who check the weather and the site in advance, but are not necessarily safe. A professional guide will always accompany you, but since you are dealing with nature, there is a risk of river flooding and flash flooding due to the weather.

Please understand and agree to participate.

●SUP guide
Instructors include guides from other countries, so make sure you understand the explanations well. There are also language differences, so be sure to ask again if you don't understand something before participating.
We recommend that customers who participate in advance purchase accident insurance and sports insurance.

●Request to customers
SUP tours are not always safe.
Because it is in nature, there are places where it is difficult to walk, such as mountain paths and riverbeds, and you may fall.
There are also other places where you should not go. Be sure to follow the instructions of the guide.
Please understand that this is a dangerous sport.

If you cancel for your own reasons, the following cancellation fees will be charged.
10-7 days before → 10%
6-2 days before → 30%
The day before → 50%
On the day → 100%
※If you are unable to make it to the tour due to traffic jams, you may be charged the full amount. Please be careful.

◆Access
・We recommend that you come by car if you want to sightsee.
・If you are coming by car: 15 minutes from the Minakami I.C. on the Kanetsu Expressway.
・If you are coming by train: We will provide a free shuttle from JR Minakami Station or Jomo-Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen.
※If you would like a shuttle, please make a reservation in advance.
※We also provide shuttles from the nearest accommodation, so please contact us.

◆Insurance
TOP Minakami offers facility liability insurance and personal injury insurance.
All our outdoor tours come with facility liability insurance (up to 300 million yen per accident), but this only applies if we are negligent.
Outdoor tours are sports that involve nature, so they are dangerous.
Because outdoor tours are done individually, we recommend that you take out personal injury insurance to cover injuries caused by your own actions.
For example, please note that injuries caused by falling or tripping in a river will be covered by personal injury insurance.
You can take out a one-time premium of 200 yen per item on the day of the tour. (You can take out this insurance on the day of the tour.) (2,200 yen for one day of hospitalization, 3,300 yen for outpatient treatment, and up to 3 million yen for major injuries)
The personal injury insurance is optional, so please listen to the explanation on site.
★All outdoor tours are accompanied by professional guides who will guide you kindly, so you can participate in the tour with peace of mind, but outdoor sports are dangerous, so please understand that they are dangerous.

SUP Participation Precautions
・Please note that we will not allow pregnant women, those who are unwell, those who have drunk alcohol on the day, or those who are hungover to participate in the tour on the day.
・The tour will be held even in the rain.

◆Guide standards
Outdoor tours in Minakami Town are governed by the Outdoor Tourism Ordinance, which sets regulations and standards, and the Outdoor Association, a general incorporated association, has been established, which sets even stricter standards and regulations.
Our guides meet these standards, and all outdoor tours are accompanied by qualified Rescue 3 and medical first aid personnel, so you can participate with peace of mind.

◆Insurance details
All tours include facility attendant liability insurance (coverage up to 300 million yen per accident, per person).
Injuries caused by personal actions are not covered, so we recommend that you take out personal injury insurance.
Customers who have not taken out insurance in advance can take out insurance on the day of the tour at our company.

◇ River Stone Precautions for use
・It gets crowded around 4:00 p.m., so you may have to wait. Thank you for your understanding.
・No smoking inside the building　・No pets.
・Credit cards cannot be used. Please prepare cash or PayPay for payment.
・Please do not make noise outdoors or indoors after 10 p.m. It will be a nuisance to other guests.
・Please keep to breakfast and dinner times.
・Fireworks are allowed in designated areas on the premises and in the parking lot, but fireworks that make noise are prohibited in the neighborhood.
・Please keep all other trash in the cottages together.
※【Winter Information for those using from December to March】※
※Those who make reservations for the winter BBQ plan will eat indoors in the dedicated restaurant building (mid-December to late March)
※As there is a lot of snowfall in winter, please bring chains and prepare studless tires.
※The parking lot on the premises may also be covered in packed snow.
※As with the green season, there will be many families staying, so please refrain from making noise or yelling.
※As there are no resident staff, please contact us if your check-in time is earlier or later than expected.

[Regarding Tour Cancellations]
Depending on weather conditions or circumstances on the tour day, the guide may determine that the tour is unsafe and cancel it. Please be aware of this in advance.
※ In case of complete cancellation, the tour fee will not be charged.
※ Please note that transportation costs to our location will be at your own expense.
